GS Yuasa is a Japanese based multinational company that manufactures and sells automotive batteries and industrial batteries. As the company seeks growth in Nordic and Baltic market area, they are now searching for a skilled Area Sales Manager to join the Nordic team in Finland.

Your role

Since GS Yuasa is a global market leader, there is huge potential to increase growth and your main target is to increase the market share in Finland and Baltic countries in both automotive & motorcycle battery as well as industrial battery product areas by actively seeking most interesting large and mid-sized B2B accounts all the way from building to managing client relationships.

Support will be provided from other sales colleagues, but you will also have opportunity to initiate own ideas and steps in creating sales strategy and different activities. Your typical work week will consist of 2-4 days of travelling (domestically and abroad) including client meetings and negotiations and appr. 1-2 days per week for administrational tasks (offers, agreements etc.) and for planning sales activities.


You should have relevant experience from the Automotive, MC, Commercial Vehicles, Machinery, UPS, or Telecom industries and already have some own network and contacts within the industry.

This role is for someone with at least five years’ experience from active sales as we are looking for experienced salesperson with own network and contacts.

To succeed in this role you require entrepreneurial approach to managing own schedule and ability to work independently. As you will be the first person hired in Finland, we expect you to be highly motivated and driven. Your location can be anywhere if your location enables you to travel easily across Finland and Baltics also (close to airport). Your closest colleagues will provide support from Sweden and UK. We expect you to have fluent English and Finnish skills.
