Wolt Finance team has played a crucial role in our growth story. Due to our phenomenal growth, we have created a new global RTR team to insource our accounting function and support all of our markets in their financial reporting.

As part of the RTR team, you are responsible not only for delivering reliable financial reporting (for example general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closing tasks, VAT reporting, and CIT reporting) but also for transferring the accounting function from our external provider to Wolt RTR Team, developing processes and procedures. You have an extraordinary possibility of taking part in continuously building something new and creating your own financial professional role together with your team.

As a senior team member, you are initiating and leading process and procedure improvements, helping your colleagues with more complex accounting questions, and leading the audit process for the assigned entities.

Your team

Wolt RTR teams are in Helsinki and Budapest, supporting all of our 23 countries and approximately 50 entities. We are responsible for all external financial reporting from recording individual transactions to preparing financial statements and tax filings.

We work closely with Wolt Country Controllers and other finance teams such as treasury and tax. The RTR team ensures that Wolt financial reporting is accurate and timely reported in all our jurisdictions.

Our HQ office is located in Helsinki city center, but you can be located anywhere in Finland.

Responsibilities & Duties

• In the beginning transfer and implement duties from the external accounting partner
• Going forward; responsible for statutory accounting matters in selected country/countries; including but not limited to; general ledger entries such as accruals, fixed assets, provisions, VAT bookings, tax bookings, etc
• Year-end financial reporting and statements
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Leading process & procedures development
• Leading/cooperating with country audit requests
• Coach and assist finance specialists in the team
• Detect and implement internal control weaknesses
• Implementing new reporting requirements

Our humble expectations

• Good experience with statutory accounting- and tax compliance, IFRS experience is a plus
• Solid background in relevant bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably from a multinational company
• Degree in accounting, finance, or similar
• Demonstrable experience in autonomous problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent MS Excel skills
• Prior experience in NetSuite (or other ERP) is an advantage
• Fluent in English, other European languages are a plus
• Must be eligible to work in Finland
